Great place to stop for lunch! We got off the train at Penn Station and wanted to find a decent lunch place. With all the touristy things around, we also wanted something quiet. This place totally fit the bill. A few doors down from the heaving masses at shake shack, we enjoyed the lunch specials (shrimp with lobster sauce and chicken with string beans) and the scallion pancake. The scallion pancake was about the lightest and crispiest I've ever had, although I wish there were a few more scallions in it. The chicken and string beans was super - flavorful and a gigantic portion. The shrimp in the lobster sauce was cooked perfectly, although the lobster sauce was a little bland and needed a bit of soy sauce to liven it up. The egg drop soup that came with the lunch specials was tasty, although a tiny bit salty. Service was friendly and on point. Overall, a good place to stop in for a quick lunch around Herald Square.

This little place looked inviting to my daughter and me as we were looking for lunch. We ordered scallion pancakes as an appetizer. They were thin and crispy and scrumptious! They came with a delicious dipping sauce and we thoroughly enjoyed them. Our meals came with a choice of hot and sour soup or egg drop soup or a vegetable spring roll. We both chose egg drop soup. It was very flavorful but salty. Not unusual. There were no soy nor duck sauces on the table and no crispy noodles were served with the soup. Unusual. We chose 2 mains to share- shrimp in lobster sauce and chicken with string beans. Both came with rice. The shrimp and lobster sauce was pretty bland. It was improved with some of the dipping sauce from the scallion pancakes. The chicken and string beans were very good. Rich flavor but a tad salty. Both portions were very nice. No one came to ask how we were doing or if we needed anything until we were done. But there were only 2 servers who were doing everything and besides the diners, it looked like the place does a lot of take out business. I would like my number to be 3.5 stars but I'll err on the side of good flavors, for the most part. very clean place and clean bathroom and nice people.

This is one of the few Sichuan spots in midtown Manhattan and worth a try if you are often in the area and craving good Chinese. This place had pretty amazing reviews but I found the inside to be underwhelming. The food was solid and I have a feeling that it delivers really well, even though we dined in. We decided to split an appetizer and three entrees. We got the Kung Pao Chicken, General Tso's Chicken, and String Beans and Eggplant. It was probably more that enough food for two people. The food was pretty much standard Chinese but done really well. The Kung Pao Chicken had Sichuan peppers in it, which can make your tongue numb, but had amazing flavor. This place is definitely on the pricier side, even for midtown. It is nice enough that you could go here for a work lunch or a date. I will not return but only because there are so many amazing Chinese restaurants in New York. This one just does not warranty a spot on the repeat list.

Was badly craving for Lo Mein after work and found this gem on the way to the Penn Station. Both meals that I ordered were so good! The shrimp dumplings really tasted authentic. The Lo Mein also tasted like high grade noodles.

Solid spot for classic Sichuan fare like 水煮鱼. Plenty of dishes to select from and quantity makes it good for family style. Stop by if you're craving numbing mala spice! Only nitpick is given the midtown location, it's pricier than more authentic spots in Queens or Manhattan Chinatown. However, the location's close to Broadway and Ktown for night life afterwards.

Can you believe? They did not raise their price for the past ten years! The spicy whole fish is just $24, way cheaper than the ones in flushing. The roast duck is my favorite, $14/ for 1/4 size, but it's good for two people. The short ribs are sweet and chewy and I love it. The spicy chicken can be more spicy if they can. The service is great unless you come at 1 pm, coz they are duper duper busy at 1pm. Great lunch in midtown.

Possibly one of my fav spot to relax at after work. Staff is courteous and whole vibe is just clean/comfortable and spacious. I've been here a few times to the point the waiter knows my order and its already on the flame by the time my tea gets to the table. If you have any favs that you don't see on the menu just ask (like chinese water spinach; stir fried is the way to go) they will try to accommodate you to the best of their ability. Def try the cumin lamb (its spicy AF but the hurt feels good)
